#1

Hi, I have a problem with my legs, they wont grow. I am training them once per week in 2 exercises. Leg extensions and leg press, I am doing 3 sets in 12-10-8 reps.
What is wrong? Please help. Thank you beforehand.

hi ya mate
this is my opinion i'm sure others will be along to help aswell,
I'm currently traing the German Volume Training system there is a write up on the forum, any way this is how it goes:
take about 60% of your max weight then do as follows:
10 sets of 10 reps for squats or leg press, superset these with
10 sets of 10 reps for lying leg curls. rest about 90 seconds between each superset.
then
3 sets of 10 reps of standing calf raises and finally 3 sets of 10 reps for abs.
this is absolutely brutal but it will make your legs grow!
if you want more info on This kind of training just ask.

there is also the 5 x 5 method but i don't know that much about this one, someone can give you the info on that one.

or there's the first form of leg training i did when i first started, a simple routine
5 x 8 to 10 squats
4 x 8 to 12 leg exstension
4 x 8 to 12 leg curls or stiff leg deadlifts
4 x 15 calf raises seated or standing

some will tell you its too much, some will tell you its not enough, see what works for you, but i have to tell you the german volume training method does work!!!
again any questions just askSmile

I can say that 2 ex. are not enough and you must do squats if you want to grow. This is basic exercise.

change up the exercise every 4 weeks so you keep the muscles guessing, also psuh to failure thats when the legs grow the best, its the last few reps that countWink

I am also adept of 20 reps training system for legs and I am very happy with it, my legs are more bigger than other guys from the gym.

like the others say... squats are key..

2 exercises is enough if they are the right ones and heavy enough - but your selection isnt the best IMO.

id suggest squats, stiff leg deads and then some calf work - if that doenst make a difference in a couple of months id be suprised!

Can you not do squats? Try to do these just after your warm up so your legs are at there strongest, then worry about the other leg exercises Smile
