Fill Up On Fibre

Fibre = Filling. Eating more fibrous foods will keep you full by bulking out your meals, giving you more ‘chew time’ without over consuming calories. There are two types of fibre, soluble fibre; these absorb water, which in turn will expand in your stomach, filling you up quicker. These are foods like oats, nuts, and beans. Consuming a range of these is ideal for improving your satiety. Insoluble fibre are different in that they don’t absorb water but help keep you regular; giving you a healthy digestive system and bowels. These include broccoli, brown rice, green beans and fruit on skins such as kiwi. It is essential you have a combination of these in your diet if you want to control your weight by improving your satiety. I aim to have fibrous food with every meal which usually includes eating plenty of veggies. The trick is to drink water shortly after your meal to fill up your stomach and stop you thinking about food
