Best workout plan on first bulk Cycle
 
I want to get everyone's thoughts on what is the best approach to building muscle on cycle. In my first case, Test E.

Normally, I believe it goes like this:
High rep, lower weight, muscle endurance.
Low Rep higher weight, strength.
Somewhere in middle, failure around 8 to 12, is mass creation zone.

However, since steroids help you recover differently, and create a more anabolic zone, does it change things.

I read that the professionals talk about volume in their workouts, that they can do that. Would adding more reps and sets while on cycle be preferable. My body already tends to respond better to the 8 - 12 zone.

I guess my goal is to make the most of this first cycle, because I read that it's oftentimes your best.

To me training is just training. I find it somewhat laughable when people decided to change their training style while bulking or cutting. My advice to you is get in the gym and bust your ass! You will find it easier to do more reps and use heavier weights and you will fatigue much later on. Rely on your diet to make the most significant changes to your physique. When I did my first cycle of test c And dbol I ate somewhere between 8-10 meals a day, my appetite was through the roof! I ate like a monster and trained like a madman, that to me is key.

In my experience lower reps and higher weights will definitely make you stronger, but not necessarily much bigger. Obviously you will grow but not to the extent that reps in the 8 to 12 range will. If you want size then I'd definitely recommend 8 to 12 over 4 to 6. You should try to mix it up over the course of a year anyway. But while on this cycle you should probably prioritise what's most important to you.

Yes, the AAS will help whether growing big or strong. but as you're using test E you need to appreciate that you can't suddenly up your volume and weights etc from the first pin. It will take time for the test to work. Use those first few weeks to slowly and gradually up your work load. You don't want to blow out just as the test kicks in.

Just be sensible. It's not going to turn Danny DeVito into Arnold Schwarzenegger overnight!

ps I agree with Pullstrong that changing style whether bulking or cutting is not the answer. That's down to diet, not training. If you want to grow big or strong you need to eat. If you want to cut body fat you lower calories. You can cut using 4 to 6 or 8 to 12 just as easily.

Right on! I've recently noticed an increase in my appetite without gear.

Do either of you microcycle. Also, what's the best plan, besides pct, to solidify your cycle gains.

I do a form of microcycling, but not as strict as some. It's mainly strength for me with size building in between, but I'm going to size build this winter with a vengeance. Watch this space.

I think the best way, long term, to solidify gains is to treat your training as a long term venture. Build slowly, lose slowly. You have to expect to lose some size and strength short term along the way, whether you cycle AAS or not. With muscle memory and improved training and knowledge of training and diet and how you react to both you will get bigger and stay bigger as you age anyway (within reason obviously).

Forever :D

At least 35 years, if not longer.

Not really a bodybuilder as such. Done all sorts. But always trained with weights.

Never gonna stop either!


BTW I do understand why people want to get huge. But unless you compete or you have some other real reason for jeopardising your health I just think it's wise to rein back a bit and treat it as a long term venture. None of us when we're young can imagine getting old. But it happens and you don't want to regret fucking yourself up when you're young just for an extra couple of inches of muscle here and there.

I want to get to be around 190 or so. But fit. Since I have trouble getting the fat gone, and building muscle, my hope a kick start will help get me where I want to go, and then it's a matter of keeping it there.
