Default pork options

now pork isn't something I eat daily like chicken or beef but do eat maybe twice a week

sunday misses done slow cooked joint of pork and pulled it was lush

but then started speaking to friend and he said

anyone who is serious about health and fitness wouldn't eat any pork at all ever

now would love to see what other peoples views are on this

now I know fat is higher and also cholesterol is much higher too but protein is fine

so would anybody not eat pork
or do you cut how much you eat ]
would you say twice week too much

I think most thing I love about my misses is im not eating same thing day in day out breakfast and stuff don't change but I know my lunch and dinner will be something decent and different

also sunday morning without bacon I mean come on why even bother living

(no offence to those who don't eat pork on other grounds)

Does your mate have the usual fat phobia? Coz pork is quite a fatty meat, but so is lamb. I find pork very filling, probably due to the fat. And because of that I eat pork when I'm cutting. As well as lamb.

I'm sure plain boiled chicken is better but I've done both that and effing tuna for years and and now I prefer to eat food I enjoy eating.

who doesn't have the fat phobia I don't even tell people how much fat I eat now as always shot down
lamb and beef I get dirt cheap so I also eat quite bit all year
see im fan of cutting carbs when cutting so increase protein and fats to counter so fats never bother me at all

Know the feeling!

Yet it's ok to eat carbs by the bucket and then blame genetics for being gross. I think the media are finally coming around to the fact that fat, as such, doesn't make you fat. And it doesn't ruin your health like sugar and flour. Unless it's man made/altered fat.

If it isn't the fat then I'd love to know why your mate thinks pork is unhealthy?
